Sandra L. (Vertullo) Bergamasco

Age 73, of Plum, surrounded by her family, on Friday, October 4, 2024, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  The wife of 18 years to the late Dominic C. Bergamasco.  Longtime companion Mario Franco.   Loving mother to Sandy (Vince) Tavella and Kimberly A. Bergamasco (Steve Ault).  Grandmother to Vince (Nikki) Tavella, Joe (Amber) Tavella, Angelina (Bryan) Kaczmarek, Jimmy McKee, Mario Gigliotti, and Lauren Ault.  Great-grandmother to Gia Tavella, Arianna Tavella, “Little” Vince Tavella, and Carter Nesky.  Sandra was born on December 2, 1950, to the late Frank P. and Arlene (Silvis) Vertullo.  Sister to Linda (Wes) Wolfe, Paul (Ingrid) Vertullo, Frank (Mary) Vertullo, Richard (Barbara) Vertullo, and the late Yvonne (the late Frank) LaBosco.  Survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Sandy was a very devoted woman of God.  She knew Jesus and had no fear of death.  She was a very hard-working independent woman, who was loved by her friends and co-workers at the Olive Garden where she was employed for more than 15 years.  She will be missed by many others who crossed her path.  We're sure they knew how kind her spirit and loving her smile was every time they met.  She enjoyed the time she spent with Mario, her children, their families and her siblings.  But not to leave out Sandy had a great love for her 2 cats Smoky and Pee-nucle.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  Funeral Service held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.  Interment to follow Service at Plum Creek Cemetery.
