On November 3, 2023, Rose Marie Olive, 63, was called home to be with her husband in heaven.
Rose was born on February 24, 1960, to the late Pasquale “Patrick” and Judy Gualtieri in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from North Allegheny High School, Rose began an illustrious beauty career. She taught at the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and developed her own skin care line. Rose was an avid reader who loved going on trips to the beach. Rose absolutely loved going out for ice-cream. Through everything she accomplished, Rose was most proud of being a wonderful grandmother/Nana. She found comfort and peace in being someone you could always turn to.
Rose is survived by her only son Anthony (Joli) DeRosa, sister Anita (Dennis) Carter, brother Patrick (Tracy) Gualtieri, Gary Roznowski husband of the late sister Donna, beloved granddaughter Scarlett DeRosa, grandson Connor Kmetz, granddaughter Emily Floyd, and great-grandson Roman. Rose is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Also left to cherish her memory is her best friend in the world Paula (Joel) Chrostowski.
Rose is preceded in death by her beloved husband Victor “Brother” Olive, parents Pasquale “Patrick” and Judy Gualtieri, and beautiful sister Donna Roznowski.
Rose was a beautiful person both inside and out, her smile could light up an entire room. She truly, and deeply cared for all those around her. She was a very kind and compassionate person who made an impact on many lives. She will forever be missed. Until we meet again Nana.
