Ronald Lyell Williams

Ronald Lyell Williams, 75, of Penn Hills peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 17, 2022, after a brave battle with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome.  Ron was the son of the late J. Lyell and Betty Williams, and brother-in-law to the late John Kapolka.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Noreen Banas; sons James Lyell II (Kelly) and Brian Patrick; sisters Judith Fullhart (Greg) and Karen Kapolka; brother-in-law Charles Banas (Cindee) and sister-in-law Julia Grady (Leo); and many nieces and nephews.  Ron was born and raised in Connellsville, PA where he graduated from Connellsville Area High School in 1965.  He went on to serve in the United States Air Force with wartime deployments to Korea and Vietnam.  Following an Honorable Discharge he had a successful career in the banking and insurance industries and retired in 2014.  Ron enjoyed music immensely and had over 10,000 albums in his collection.  He was loving called “Mr. Gadget” by his loved ones.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 2 – 4 pm & 6 – 8 pm, at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills

Blessing Service will be held Thursday 10 am at the funeral home.

Interment will follow Blessing Service at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
