Robert F. Kalkstein, age 91, of Murrysville passed away the morning of Sunday January 7, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy (Martin) Kalkstein; loving father to Kurt (Stacey) Kalkstein, Sharon (Jim) Rohall, and Leslie (John) Collette; loving grandfather of Cory Glasgow, Ashley (Evan) Bauder, Rachel Collette, Matthew Kalkstein, Ryan Collette, and Krista Rohall. Robert was the brother of the late Edward (late Edna Mae) Kalkstein and late Carol (Gerald, surviving) Dirks; and was an Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Robert was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He was a former salesman for the Continental Research Corporation. He was deeply faithful to the Catholic church. He loved to go fishing and was very active in supporting his grandchildren’s sporting events. Most of all, he was a loving father and grandfather to his beloved family. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Visitation will be held Wednesday January 10, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday January 11, 2024, at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church in Plum at 11:00 am.
Interment to follow Mass at Eastview Union Cemetery, Delmont PA.
