Richard C. Babyak

Age 80, of Penn Hills, passed away on Monday, June 09, 2025.  He was born in North Braddock on February 25, 1945, to the late Clarence A. and Amelia B. (Tomko) Babyak.  Beloved husband to Diane (Allhouse) Babyak.  Loving father to Erica (Andrew) Mooney of Penn Hills, and Elizabeth (Joseph) Price of Ligonier.  Grandfather to Morgan Price (Jason Skinner).  Great-grandfather to Lydia Skinner.  Brother to Gerald (Sandra) Babyak of Maryland, and Jeffrey (Terri) Babyak of North Braddock.

Rich played football at Scott High in North Braddock where he grew up then received a scholarship at Eastern Kentucky University to play football and where he receives his teaching degree.  He became a health and Phys Ed teacher at Norwin High School as well as an assistant football coach and a hockey coach.  He later became VP of Sales at Maroadi Transfer and played softball for the Maroadi team.  His love of sports was undeniable.  Moving into retirement he drove a school van and loved his students; they taught him many things and kept him current on lingo and style.  He and his wife bred, raised, and showed dogs for much of their life.  He loved a good laugh and loved being with his family.
