Peggy Jean (McClintock) Lugar

At the age of 85, of Oakmont, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, surrounded by her family.  Beloved wife of the late Frank O. Lugar.  Loving mother of Burt Lugar (Louise), and the late Frankie Jane Lugar.  Daughter to the late Harry McClintock and Verna Mae (Winnie) Callahan.  Sister of the late Nancy Coffman (the late George), the late Jane, and the late William Howard Callahan.  Also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Peg was a long-time docent at the Pittsburgh Zoo where she spent many happy times with all her friends and her beloved gorillas.  The family would like to thank the members of the AHN Hospice team including Lil and Monairah and especially Rosey and Wilma who helped care for her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Oakmont on Saturday, August 3, 2024, 10:30 am.  There will be no visitation.

Donations may be made to the Center for Great Apes or the St. Thomas Organ fund.
