Norma Jean (Woodfill) Marson
At the age of 93, of Murrysville, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025. She was born on November 24, 1931, to the late Charles and Marie (Sauers) Woodfill. Beloved wife of 73 years to the late Richard J. Marson. Loving mother to Deborah (David) Sum, Diane (Tim) McNeillie, Richard G. (Jennifer) Marson, Margaret (Wayne) Schrantz, and Michael Marson. Grandmother to Chelsea (Casey) Davis, Richard (Kayla) Marson, David Sum (Katie Parry), Daniel Sum (Heather Scanlon), Dianna (Bobby) Franklin, Maxwell (Luciano Rauso-McNeillie) Shannon McNeillie, Melissa (Justin) Walls, Wayne Schrantz, Kaitlyn Schrantz (Velton Kenney), Breanna Schrantz, and Taylor Schrantz. Great grandmother to Layla Davis, Quinn Davis, Mackenzie Sum, Huntleigh Sum, Emery Sum, Mila Franklin, Maya Franklin, Haley McNeillie, Aubrey McNeillie, Penelope McNeillie, Tommy Cardell, Connor Nolan, JT Walls, Rhylee Walls (Legend Ausk), Joey Walls, Mikaela Schrantz, Aaliyah Kenney, and Avah Kenney. Great-great grandmother to Soul Ausk. Sister to Annette (Jim) Amberson, Darlene (Jack) Blakely, Claudette Freund, Patricia Elliott, Sharon (Dennis) Hennel, the late Rosemary Greylock, Barbara Elliott, Marie (Donald) Sapp, and Charles (Margie surviving) Woodfill.
Jean took great pride being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister to her loving family. She was a huge Pittsburgh Pirate Fan, also enjoyed playing bingo, and watching game shows.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 2-8 pm, at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.
Funeral Mass held Friday, May 9, 2025, 10:00 am, Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish (St. Susanna Church 200 Stotler Road, Penn Hills).
Entombment to follow Mass at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
