Nicholas Samuel Lamia, Sr., 74, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully at UPMC Mercy Hospital on December 16, 2022, with family by his side. Nicholas was born in Pittsburgh on August 9, 1948. He graduated from Penn Hills High School and then attended Triangle Tech-Pittsburgh. Throughout his life, in his spare time, he enjoyed painting, singing and playing the guitar with the bands The Bustouts and J.R. & The Roadrunners. He won best of show and many ribbons for his artwork. He was a past President of the Penn Art Association and a current member of The Penn Hills Art Council. He enjoyed martial arts and taught for many years. He was a Disc Jockey for local Pittsburgh radio stations such as WLSW. He was a small business owner. Nicholas was a loving husband to his wife Gina Lamia, Brother to Anthony Lamia (Sharon), Joseph Lamia, Annette Lamia, Michelle Greco (Mike), Denise Dreer (Billy), and Santina Schiller (Larry). Father to Nicholas Schilling, Nicholas Lamia (Jackie), Jennette Kuhn (John), & Gina Lamia. He was a Grandfather to eight Grandchildren, and eight Great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12 pm to 2 pm, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.
A private blessing service and interment will be held for family only, at 2 pm.
