Mike Lusnak, 92, of Plum Boro, PA passed on to his Heavenly reward on March 23, 2023, joining his wife, Mary. Mike was born on August 3, 1930, in Indiana County, PA to Joseph and Veronica Lusnak. Mike was proud to have served in United States Marines in Washington, DC.
He is survived by his children, Barbara Lusnak, Mary Jo Lusnak, and Michael Lusnak, sons-in-laws David Hayden and Ron Collins, daughter-in-law Kay, and grandchildren Jordan and Michael Lusnak. Survived by his Sister-in-law Catherine Manoledes; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Mike was a bricklayer foreman at United States Steel and worked primarily at the Homestead Works, and he participated in many projects at US Steel’s other mills. Mike was always available to lend a hand to friends and family on home improvement projects. Mike and Mary were active members of St John the Baptist church for over 60 years. He enjoyed his Pittsburgh sports teams whether attending or watching Steeler and Pirate games on TV. Mike was a member of the Universal Moose Lodge where he made many friends and memories. He participated in the Moose golf league as well as the Rod and Gun club. He enjoyed the many golf and fishing outings over the years especially the happy hours and card games. He was known as an outstanding fisherman at camp and an even tougher card player afterward!
Friends received Sunday, March 26th, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Findley C. Wylie Funeral Home, 11311 Frankstown Road in Penn Hills PA. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, March 27th noon Holy Family Prish (St. John the Baptist Church). Interment in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
