Michael D. “Mike” Stevick, 79, of Penn Hills, passed away on November 9, 2025.
Father of Michael J. Stevick of California and Stefanie Stevick. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Stevick, and his father, Harry Stevick.
Mike was born in Pittsburgh and raised in Wilkinsburg. He proudly served in the United States Army, completing basic training in 1964 before continuing his service in the Army Reserves until 1972.
Mike was an entrepreneur with a big personality and a love for people. He opened a hot dog shop called Trivia Tube Steaks, and Later, he started Mike’s Hawaiian Ice — a business that fit him perfectly, giving him an excuse to talk with everyone who came by. In one of his more unexpected adventures, he even earned his cosmetology license so he could help out in his ex-wife’s salon — a detail that never failed to make friends and family smile. No matter what he took on, Mike brought warmth, humor, and a genuine interest in the people around him. He was a hard worker, selfless, and steadfast.
Mike loved pickleball, dancing, cheering on the Steelers and Pirates, enjoying anything Italian, and spending time with his family. Those who knew him will remember his energy, his laughter, and the way he made every room just a little brighter.
