Michael Cassidy Obituary

Michael John Cassidy
Born June 3, 1951 – Passed away August 23, 2025

Michael John Cassidy, of Penn Hills, originally from Wilkinsburg, passed away peacefully with family by his side on August 23, 2025, at the age of 74.

Beloved husband of 53 years to Deborah Jane (Fowler).   Loving father of Michelle (Michael) Hodil, Jennifer Cassidy, and Christina Cassidy. Doting Pap Pap who deeply loved and cherished his grandboys, Joshua, Camden, Evan, Riley, and Grayson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Joseph Cassidy; his mother, Dorothy Mae (Probst); and his sister, Barbara Ann Cassidy.

Michael retired after 35 years of dedicated service with UPS and was a proud, loyal member of Teamsters Local 249. A true Irishman at heart, his primary enjoyment was spending his time with family—whether at the beach, gathered for Sunday dinners, or simply being together.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm., at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.

Blessing Service held Friday, August 29, 2025, 10 am., at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
