Mary Patricia “Pattie” Ruane, age 74, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Daughter of the late Regis and Patricia Moran Ruane. Sister of Vincent Ruane (Kathleen Mahoney) and Michael Ruane (Cheri). Sister-in-law of the late Susan M. Ruane. Mary is survived by her son, Matthew Koo Ruane Carothers of Timberon, New Mexico. Grandmother of Kamora Plant and Sophia Carothers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Mary was a graduate of Penn Hills High School and Edinboro University. Her teaching career took her to McDowell High School, Erie, Pennsylvania and the University of Connecticut. “Pattie” will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at The Residence at Whitehall and the staff at Allegheny General Hospital ICU. Arrangements entrusted to Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Penn Hills. All services will be Private.
