Age 97, of Penn Hills, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Frank P. Capobianco; loving mother of Patricia L. Rossi (Robert), Leonard Capobianco (Denise), the late Frank P. Capobianco, and Joseph J. Capobianco; mother-in-law of Sandy Capobianco. Grandmother of Robert J. Rossi, Frank A. Rossi (Linda), Gina M. Schneiderlochner (Ryan), Joseph J. Capobianco (Michelle), Angela Karcz (Ben), Maria Brooks (justin), Natalie Ventrice (Greg), Frank Capobianco (Ashley), Vincent Rocco Capobianco, Rachael Ardnt (Jeff), Deana LaMolinare (Nick), Frank P. Capobianco, Denise, and the late Michelle Capobianco; great grandmother of Addison, Nico, Rocco, Luca, Gia, Gabriela, Valentina, Letizia, Bianca, Ella, Olivia, Laila, Lorenzo, Octavia, Joseph John III, Jacob, Rocco, Guiliana, Nina, Vienna, Caterina, Nicolina, Gianni, Santino, and Mia. Daughter of the late John & Assunta (Palumbo) Deriggi; sister of the late Angelo Deriggi, Michael Deriggi, Sunny DeCarlo, Theresa Moffett, Victoria Rossi, Jenny Ferracano. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mary loved spending time with her family, along with cooking, bingo, playing the daily numbers, and cards.
A special thank you to all the staff at Seneca Manor where she resided for the last 4 1/2 years. Also, to Gallagher Hospice, especially Barb B., Bryanna, and Barb K. for their wonderful care throughout the past year.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.
Masks are required to be worn in funeral home per family's request.
Mass held Monday, January 3, 2022 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish (St. John the Baptist), Plum.
Interment to follow Mass at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
