Maria (Stumptner) Berei

Maria Berei

Age 92, of Penn Hills, peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 surrounded by her family.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph Berei; loving mother of Irene Maria Oberlaber (Fritz) and the late Joseph Reinhard Berei.  Grandmother of Michael Oberlaber (Barbara) and Marcus Oberlaber; great-grandmother of Marcel Oberlaber, Christian Oberlaber, and Maximilian Oberlaber.  Daughter of the late Johann and Stephanie (Exl) Stumptner; sister of the late Rudi Stumptner (Pepi surviving).  Survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Maria was a teacher at the University of Pitt and also worked at Westinghouse.  She enjoyed reading the entire newspaper, gardening and music.

A Blessing Service held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 12707 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.

Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
