Lewis R. “Buzzy” Sylvester of Plum, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022, at the age of 82. Buzzy died peacefully at his home with his beloved wife of 50 years, Nancy, by his side.
Buzzy was born in Universal, PA on August 6, 1939, to Louis Sylvester and Julia Paluselli. He married Nancy Crusan, also from Penn Hills, in July of 1971. Buzzy enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and cutting the grass on his riding lawn mower. He was a proud father and grandfather. He and Nancy continued to operate Shiek’s until December of 2021, when they finally retired. Three months after retirement, he started his fight against his diagnosis with glioblastoma.
