John B. DeRubeis

Age 91, of Penn Hills, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023.  Beloved husband of 59 years to the late Theresa (Maggi) DeRubeis.  Loving father to John M. (Marie) DeRubeis, Donna DeRubeis, Lisa (Pete) Kurios, Robert Lavalley, the late Robert (Tina surviving) DeRubeis, and the late Jeffrey DeRubeis.  Grandfather to John R. DeRubeis, Nicole (Paul) Kukic, Victoria DeRubeis (Sarah), Robert (Kim) DeRubeis, Nick (Shannon) DeRubeis, Josh Kurios, and Caitlyn Kurios.  Great-grandfather to Teddy Kukic, Olivia DeRubeis, Tyler Kukic, and Luca DeRubeis.  Son to the late Nicola and Anita (Iola) DeRubeis; brother to the late Norman (the late Norma) DeRubeis.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John was a self-employed Cement Mason for 70 years for Local Union 526.  He enjoyed playing bocci, cards and hunting. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm., at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.

Blessing Service held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 10:30 am., at the funeral home.

Entombment will follow Blessing Service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
