James Wait Obituary
James P. Wait, 92, of Penn Hills passed away Tuesday April 6, 2021.
James P. Wait, He was a husband and a father, a man willing to help others. James served his country in the Korean War as an Army Communications Specialist. Upon his return, He met and married the love of his life and was married for more than 59 years. James started his new career with Bell Systems of Pennsylvania and spent the next 35 years providing telephone support and service. In 1952, while James was working on a telephone pole, he witnessed a boy playing with a fire drum, the boys clothes caught on fire and without a second thought slid down the telephone pole and saved the boy’s life. James was recognized and presented with the highest honor the Bell Systems could give, which was the Vail Award, for saving the boy's life.

Family and Friends will be received on Sunday April 25, 2021 from 2-4 pm at Trinity Towers United Methodist Church 6729 Saltsburg Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. Services will follow at 4:00 at the church.
Interment Private.
