James Joseph Sullivan
Age 76, of Oakdale, formerly of Penn Hills, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Charlotte M. (Hodil) Burgess-Sullivan. Loving father of Christine E. Sullivan (Joe), and the late Scott P. Sullivan; step-father of William K. Burgess (Genevieve), and the late Janelle M. Burgess. Grandfather of Ashley and Lauren; great-grandfather of Arilynn, Makenna, Leland, and the late Greyson; step-grandfather of Kayla, Noah, William, Madison, and Aiden. Son of the late Claude P. and Marjorie G. (Keller) Sullivan; brother of the late Kenny Sullivan; brother-in-law of Susan Hodil; uncle of Patty Sullivan and the late Michael Sullivan. Survived by Gracie, his furry companion, who was always at his side.
Jim enjoyed fishing, boating, dinning out, dancing, and watching the Steelers, Pirates, and other local sports teams on TV. He was also a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers. Jim loved spending time with his family, especially the joys of his life, his grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.
Memorial Service 2:30 at the funeral home.
Interment Private.
