Homer "Hank" Leacock
Age 90, of Forest Hills, peacefully passed away on Monday, January 18th, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Clara Austin. Loving father of Betty Jane Koman (Terry Koman) and Debra Ann Bartins (Kim Bartins). Brother of the late Virginia Chirico (Late Carmen Chirico). Grandfather of Thomas Bartins (Heather Huff), Amanda Steigerwald, and Adam Bartins (Cristina Correnti). Great grandfather of McClane Bartins, Chloe Bartins, Vivian Steigerwald, and Henry Steigerwald. Also survived by many loving nieces.
Hank was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, & great-grandfather. Born & raised in Carnegie PA, Hank served in the US Army Air Forces in post-World War II during the occupation of Japan. Married Clara Austin (the love of his life) in 1952 & raised 2 daughters. Worked for Sunbeam Appliance Service Company and was President of the IUE local 643 of the Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers Union. Hank loved spending time with family and fixing things. He was an amazing storyteller and his sharp mind never left out the fascinating details of his many adventures & rich History. A truly kinder person than you would ever meet & his big heart touched so many lives both young and old. If you only met him once, you would never forget him. He will be sorely missed by his family & friends.
Family & friends will be received on Friday, January 22nd from 4pm to 8pm at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills PA 15235. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 23rd 11am at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills.
