Floyd J. Hunkele
Age 85, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Beloved Husband of 56 years to Mary Anne (Sagone) Hunkele; loving father of Mark (Jenene) and Timothy (Christina) Hunkele. Grandfather of Elizabeth, Angelina, Brady, Benjamin, Juliana, Brayden, and Courtney Hunkele. Son of the late William and Barbara (Reidlinger) Hunkele; brother of the late William (Frances), James (Mary), and Norbert (Nancy) Hunkele, and Bernadette (Thomas) Short. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Floyd retired after 25 years at Church Mutual as a Senior Sales Rep. He proudly ushered and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Susanna’s Church and enjoyed 50 retreats at St. Paul’s. He enjoyed bowling leagues, golfing, gardening, framing puzzles he built and working at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home. Served 2 years active duty in US Army as a radio operator stationed in Germany. His greatest passion was his family, especially his grandkids who were the center of his life.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills. Mass held Monday 10:00 am Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish (St. Susanna Church), Penn Hills.
