Eleanore R. (Ratkiewicz) Diulus of Virginia Beach, formerly of Murrysville and Penn Hills, passed away peacefully at home on January 21. Born in Homestead, PA on September 2, 1930, she lived a full, fun-filled life. To say she was the best is an understatement as she excelled in everything she did. She served in the US Army and had a very successful career as Vice President of Penn Center and later as Executive Secretary for Tri-L Pizza Huts. An amazing cook, talented artist, and accomplished bowler and golfer, she loved to entertain and travel. Her greatest accomplishment was as loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Eleanore was predeceased by the love of her life, her doting husband Joseph, son Joe, daughter and son-in-law Judy and Lee Kosar, grandson Michael Perez, Jr. and brother Eugene “Geno” Ratkiewicz. She is survived by her daughter Diane (Michael) Perez, grandchildren Joseph Diulus, Derek McClemens, Tina Perez, Stephanie (James) DeSimone, Matthew Perez, and great-grandchildren Angelena and Kaylah Diulus and Jimmy DeSimone.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday January 28, 2022 at the Findlay C Wylie Funeral Home 11311 Frankstown Road Penn Hills. American Legion Post 980 Service at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday January 29, 2022 at Holy Family Parish (Our Lady of Joy Plum).
Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
