Doris Villella Obituary

Doris Marie Villella (Cuda), 89, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025. Born on March 19, 1935, to Josephine and Anthony Cuda, Doris lived a full and vibrant life marked by love, creativity, and dedication to her family.

She worked at Bell Telephone and was known for her passion for bowling, her love of cats, and her incredible talent as a seamstress and crafter. Doris and her sisters were also proud casino aficionados, always enjoying a good game and the excitement of a lucky win. Whether stitching a beautiful piece, sharing laughter at the slot machines, or offering heartfelt advice, Doris brought warmth and wisdom to those around her.

Doris is survived by her loving children: Vicky Wittuck (Ron), Toni Hunt (Edward Fischer), and Chris Villella (Catherine); her cherished grandchildren: Marley Bocianowski (Joseph), Danielle Hunt, Stephen Wittuck, Jordan Lemon (Jesse), Eric Fischer, and Alexandra Villella; and her adored great-grandchildren: Kameryn Trim and Josephine Lemon and many special nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her dear lifelong friends, Zoe Bell and Polly Donahue, who brought her joy, laughter, and companionship throughout the years.  Doris enjoyed living at Serenity Ridge the past 10 years and making new friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Anthony Cuda, as well as her beloved siblings, Anna Hartle, Rose Baldwin, and John Cuda. Doris was also the former wife of the late Albert Nicholas Villella.

A private celebration of life will be held in her honor. In remembrance of Doris, we hold close her favorite advice: "Couples who dance at weddings are the happiest couples!" Doris’s favorite phrase was “Oh well watcha gonna do.”  May her legacy of love, laughter, and creativity live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Doris's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to AHN Forbes hospital and hospice staff for their kindness and compassion during her final days.

In lieu of flowers, Doris’s family would like any memorial donations to be sent to the Patient Care Fund at the Lost and Found Pharmacy, 11555 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh, PA. 15235, which assists people who cannot afford their medications.
