Donald Dillon Obituary

Donald Dale Dillon

Age 70, of Penn Hills (Blackridge), formerly of Watsonville (Santa Cruz), California, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021, with his companion of 40 years Maureen Madden by his side.  Son of the late Dale and Velda (Corbly) Dillon; brother of Douglas C. Dillon (Brenda) of Tennessee, and the late David G. Dillon. Donald was the generous and fun-loving uncle of twenty-six nieces and nephews.

Don served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Afterwards, he started his working career operating heavy equipment for Kaiser Refractories moving onward to real estate and finally following his passion for food.  He earned his degree in the culinary arts at the International Culinary Institute of Pittsburgh. Don worked as a chef and food service management at various locations in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Don's interests were varied and extensive. He was a great travel companion and loved traversing North America.  His many other interests included golfing, fishing, baseball, gardening, and reading.

Don did not want a wake or funeral and was cremated per his wishes.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
