Dolores B. Disher passed away at home on Friday October 6, 2023. “Dorrie” was born on February 15, 1935, to Joseph LaGamba and Pauline (Parziale) LaGamba. She was the youngest of four siblings; Robert LaGamba, Donald LaGamba and Giovanna (LaGamba) DeMore whom proceeded her in death. She married Thomas R. Disher Sr. on August 24, 1957. They were married for 59 years. She was also preceded in death by her husband and her oldest grandson, Robby. She is survived by her two children: Tom and Colleen, two grandchildren Alex and Mac, and a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews. Dorrie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing to her. Her hobbies included a 10 year stint working at McDonald’s and a 30 year dedication to the TOPS organization of which she had been a COP for 29 years. Dorrie’s passion was spending every summer in Florida and every Christmas season in Pittsburgh with her family. Dorrie was known for her endearing, spunky personality and will be sorely missed by those who knew her.
The family will receive friends and family at a viewing to be held at Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills on Tuesday October 10, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.
Followed by a Blessing service on Wednesday October 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Interment will follow the Service at Plum Creek Cemetery.
