Diane M. (Allshouse) Babyak, age 80, of Penn Hills passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. Born in London, England to the late Howard and Peggy Allshouse April 30, 1945. Diane was the wife of the late Richard C. Babyak, mother of Elizabeth (Joseph) Price and Erica (Andrew) Mooney, grandmother of Morgan (Jason) Price- Skinner and great grandmother of Lydia Skinner. She was the sister of the late Margaret (James) Mellon, Linda (Richard) Schmidt and Karen (Hiram) Wilson; sister in law of Jeffrey (Terri) Babyak and Gerald (Sandra) Babyak. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews that she loved like her own.
Diane was an avid dog lover. Diane and her husband, Rich, spent a lot of their time involved in Bulldog clubs and breeding and raising English bulldogs. Later in life, she found a new love for cats and seemed to have a special way with them. She often said she never thought she was a cat person, but she was!
Diane started her career as a bartender at the Thunderbird Restaurant and then at the Lighthouse where she met Rich. Later, she became a presser at Nu-Life cleaners and enjoyed that as well. For Diane, it was the more people she served and helped that gave her the biggest amount of pride and satisfaction. Diane was a great cook and her family always requested her potato salad and stuffed cabbage for family holidays and functions. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Services were held privately.
Arrangements by the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home Inc. 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.
