Carmine (Carmen) A. Talento, 89, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and most recently Romulus, Michigan, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on February 6, 2025.
Born on July 19, 1935, to Carmen and Mary Talento, Carmen worked various jobs before building a long career as a tool and die maker at Ford Motor Company, where he remained until his retirement in 2000.
In retirement, he cherished time with his beloved wife, Nancy, and their family. He and Nancy enjoyed trips to the casino with friends, and he found joy in nature and caring for animals, always ensuring they were well-fed. His loyal dog, Blu, was a constant source of comfort and companionship. Carmen’s quick wit, humor, and infectious laugh will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmen and Mary (Simko) Talento, and sisters Katherine “Tootsie” (Dominic) Abriola, Marion “Babe” (Donald) Gaines, and Jean (Rudy) Nuzzo. He is survived by his wife of over fifty years, Nancy Talento; children Andy Talento, Diana (Rolando) Salazar, Mike (Sue) Laurito, Craig (Caroline) Laurito, John (Cathy) Talento, Sean (Raynee) Farnan, and Brian (Sherry) Farnan; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
