Antoinette Martino Lamia, 96, of North Huntingdon (formerly of Penn Hills), passed away peacefully in her home on October 2, 2022, with family by her side. Antoinette was born in Pittsburgh on September 18, 1926. She was married for 70 years to her love, Nicholas Lamia, until his passing in 2018. They met as teenagers, and she waited for him to return from the Navy in WWII to marry. Antoinette and Nicholas had seven children, 17 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. A homemaker for most of her life, she loved sitting around the dinner table with family & friends, whether it was Sunday pasta or a beautifully prepared holiday meal. She was always the first to sit down and the last to leave, enjoying her sweets and coffee with small talk and laughter with her family. Ann was a night owl who spent many nights watching her “programs,” which included soap operas, movies, and baseball with her husband. In her younger years, you could find her playing cards, shopping, or going on road trips. The holidays were always her favorite, from cooking a large meal for her big family to decorating her house inside and out. If you ask her grandchildren, Nunny’s house was the place to be during the holidays, and they never wanted to leave. As she got older, she couldn’t do as much, but her daughter Denise continued to make sure she got to do all her favorite things along with Michelle and Sharon whom she loved dearly. She loved spending the holidays with family, and her new joy of seeing her great-grandchildren. Antoinette was the glue to her family and always had an open door; her family will miss her dearly. They loved her very much. Loving mother to Nicholas Lamia (Gina), Anthony Lamia (Sharon), Joseph Lamia, Annette Lamia, Michelle Greco (Mike), Denise Dreer (Billy), and Santina Schiller (Larry). Grandmother to Nicholas Lamia (Jackie), Michael Lamia (Jen), Jennette Kuhn (John), Anthony Lamia (Danna), Christopher Lamia (Mary), Jayson Cassidy, Antoinette Lamia, Nicholette Manilla (Marcellino), Amber Lamia, Ronald Muldowney, Joseph Lamia (Mallorie), Maria Tagliavia (Matthew), Shana Schiller, Gina Lamia, Samantha Schiller, Leanna Lamia, Selena Schiller (Dillon), and Great Grandmother to 25. Daughter of the late Daniel and Cora Mae (Iarrusso) Martino.
